Does money paid to me by my college for an internship but is not on my W-2 still count as income total for the year when calculating my ROTH IRA contribution limit?

My college pays students for any "unpaid" internships they work. However, since we aren't "working" for the college, they don't report it as "income" on my W2 tax form as they wold other paid jobs I have on campus.
