CA resident for a bit longer. Moving out of state. I've a CSTRS package that will max out in 3 yrs.

Trying to figure out if I should let it grow or start collecting?

What (tax) steps do I need to carefully proceed w while getting ready to move? In CA a teacher cannot work for 6 months after they retire? What if I'm working in another state in any capacity? Does it matter if its a school district or not? Does it vary by state? Where do I look?

I believe the gray area is Social Security & the Windfall Act?
