Continued error on my Il return

For my IL State taxes I keep getting rejected.  My 1099G for my unemployment is not a form its a letter.  With the Total Benefits paid, FED taxes withheld, State withheld and  IDES Federal  ID .   I continue to get this error:

When State1099G Line 10a StateAbbreviationCd is equal to IL, and the corresponding State1099G Line 11 StateTaxWithheldAmt is greater than zero, State1099G PayerEIN must be equal to the FEIN for the Illinois Department of Employment Security. Enter the information exactly as it appears on your 1099G. If State1099G Line 10a State is blank, use Payer state code."

I've entered in 36-3042127 but that must not be correct as it keep getting rejected with the same reject error message.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Continued error on my Il return

That is the number I have on file as well.

36-3042127

I assume you are entering "as if" you received a 1099-G.

Use that number as the Payer's TIN under the Payer's name and address box

Enter IL in Box 10a

Enter that same number again in Box 10b

Enter IL tax withheld in Box 11

Be sure the Unemployment amount is entered in Box 1 (not Box 2)

You might try deleting that 1099-G and re-entering.

For TurboTax Desktop, switch to Forms (Upper right corner)

  • To Delete a Form  using TurboTax Online:
Select Tax Tools on the left side-bar
    Select Tools from that drop-down
Select “Delete a form” on the TOOLS CENTER screen
Select the Form 1099-G, delete and re-enter
