They need to be enrolled for a full semester, so if they withdrew in April and they would not be qualify.

OK, but since you can claim the AOTC if they withdraw and you don't get a refund (which we won't this late), as long as he withdraws on or after May 1 we can claim he was a fulltime student? He doesn't have to take finals/finish the semester?
