If you filed a joint return in 2016 your AGI will be the same. If you filed separate returns in 2016 and he did not file a return then his AGI would be $0. If you filed separate returns and he did file, then you would need to use his AGI from his return in 2016. If you are unsure of what it is click here to Get Your Transcript
