If you paid money out of pocket (not with insurance or a non-taxable account of some kind) then you can deduct the costs as medical expenses, BUT:
You can only deduct costs that are for medical care.
If the main reason she is in the facility is for medical care, you can deduct the entire cost. But if she is there for convenience or other personal reasons besides medical care, then you can only deduct the part of the cost that is for actual medical care.
