1099-R Distribution AFTER Death of Mother

Isn't there a way to show that the money was passed into my name, without taxation; ie. K-1?

In your name?   What code is on box 4 on the 1099-R?  Is your name and SSN on the 1099-R?

Hi, thanks.  The code is 7.  So, I think there's a misunderstanding...on my part...that the 1099-R must be for her RMD, and NOT for the liquidation of her IRA account.

The if the money was distributed prior to her death, it must be reported on her final 2020 tax return.
