I SOLD MY REMAINING ANNUITY PAYMENTS IN 2019. I INHERITED THIS FROM OUR FAMILY TRUST 19 YRS AGO. I FILED IN 2020. THOUGHT I WASHED MY HANDS OF IT. NOT...I GOT A 1099-R THIS YEAR. IVE CALLED THE PAYEE ALONG WITH THE NEW OWNER REQUESTING THIS CHANGE. APPARANTLY THE COMPANY THAT RECEIVES THE PAYMENTS HAS TO AGREE TO THE CHANGE IN REGARD TO THE 1099R???? I FEEL LIKE I WAS HAD. LIFE HAPPENED AND THE LUMP SUM OF THE REMAINING PAYMENTS WERE NEEDED. SO CAN I FILL OUT THE SUBSTITUTE 1099R ? UNTIL THIS GETS STRAIGHTENED OUT IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE OR SHOULD I SUCK IT UP FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE PLAN PAYMENTS??? ANY HELP WITH THIS IS MUCH APPRECIATED. I
