Or, does it have to be only in 2019 that we chose direct deposit. Will I get the stimulus on my direct deposit gift card from Turbo Tax? I think I threw that away. Please help! My family already sees the deposit in their bank accounts.
I wish Turbo Tax did not provide me the option to receive this on a debit card that was mailed to me, now I have to wait longer.

It depends.
In order to deliver money as quickly as possible to those who need it, the IRS is sending stimulus payments to eligible taxpayers who filed a tax return in either 2019 or 2018 and chose to receive their refund via direct deposit into their checking account. These taxpayers will automatically have their stimulus payment deposited into the account they received their refund.
We have not yet received confirmation from the IRS on whether they will be putting stimulus payments on prepaid debit cards. However, we have noticed that the IRS has started depositing stimulus payments on some prepaid debit cards for taxpayers that chose to receive their refund through that method in tax year 2019 or 2018.

I received my refund on the Turbotax debit card, but also had a refund advance. This morning I went to Irs.gov and clicked on Get My Payment for the stimulus check. When I put my information in the needed additional information and I had to give them my direct deposit information again. You can check to see if your payment was already sent out if not they will request your direct deposit information. You will have to have your 2019 tax information ready because you will need your adjusted gross income and your refund amount. Hope this helps!
