The home of record gets their share of his military pay until he separated from service.NE will need to filed for the service income.

 

If you have made SD your new permanent home, then part-year returns for each state is necessary.

SD has no state income tax.  So if SD is your new permanent home - your "domicile" in tax terminology - you need only file a part-year resident tax return for Nebraska.
