Me and my wife are military, but filing separately. When I review my info, it states that she isn't in the US Armed Forces but will not let me change.

It doesn't give you the ability to change it right away, but before you submit it will give you a chance to change your spouse's status once you review all the information.

I separated 23Oct2023. For the section covering my military status on 31Dec2023 should I select Active duty (I left the military in 2023) or Former member (veteran)?
