Where to input closing costs for a rental property?

Go into the Rental section:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Income & Expenses across the top.

3.  Scroll down to Rentals, Royalties, and Farm and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E).

Answer the question about a Real Estate Professional.  Click Edit by the rental that you'd like to add the closing costs to.  Click Update by Assets/Depreciation.  The costs are added to the total cost of the home.  See below for TurboTaxLeeM's answer.  Even though it's two years old, it's still valid:
