Where to enter the withholding CA State Taxes while the rental property was sold in TurboTax

Hi,

I sold my rental property in 2020. Based on the closing statement, there is a required CA Franchise Tax Board tax withholding. I'm trying to enter the withholding amount in Sale of Business Property, but I cannot find a place to do so. Could anyone tell how to add this amount to my tax return?

Thank you very much,

Sam

Amount you paid is most likely property tax. You can enter under expenses/property tax paid on you Schedule  E. Or you can  add to cost-basis of your property, it will offset part of the gain on sale.
