You would need to use TurboTax Home and Business,
establish the self-employed business
Enter the income
enter the lease expense (and all actual expenses) and the portion that the leased vehicle was used for business
or use the Standard Mileage Rate by entering the number of miles driven for business use.
I have turbo tax premier. I am not leasing a car. I am renting a car and therefore no mileage can be written off that i know about. I just need to know where I can write the car rental price and charging fees off? I tried entering it as a lease but that doesnt really fit. I do not own the car. I was thinking maybe to enter it under Enter business expenses not yet reported?
Yes, the car is a deductible expense like other necessary supplies. Entering it under other business expenses is a great solution.
