When I populated the SCH CA540NR,I was asked by Turbotax if capital gain from stock trading I made was using California resource? what is definition of CA resource?

I lived and worked outside US in full year of 2018 and also change address in my account from CA addr to  oversea addr. in June, 2018.

It's asking about sales of assets that are California sourced, meaning located in Calif such as land, buildings, etc. That includes any gain/loss while you lived in Cailf (if you did during 2018).
