Sold a rental property this year and need advice on the federal taxes that will have to be filed this upcoming tax season to reduce the impact from the profit made.

Turbotax is not a paid preparer and doesn't give tax advice ... it is a DIY system. Unless you did a 1031 exchange when you sold the property there is really no way to minimize the cap gain or depreciation recapture you must take unless you have some capital losses to claim like from stocks you sell at a loss.
