Rental Remodel Depreciation across tax years

A remodel was completed in two of my units last year and they were available for rent in November.  Unfortunately the contractor did not invoice me until late January.

Do I claim the depreciation starting when units were placed in service in November or do I now wait and claim when I was invoiced in late January or payment was made early February?  Thank you.

Yes, you would claim depreciation when the units were placed in service regardless when they were paid.
