Classified as residential real estate; it would be capitalized and depreciated over 27.5 years.

Regarding depreciation , is a heat and air unit installed in a rental house categorized as residential rental real estate or appliances, carpet, furniture?

If the HVAC unit is part of the structure it must be depreciated over 27.5 years.
