Sold home in 2019. Had lived in it for more than 2 years, then rented it afterwards. Where do we report home sale: in sale of home, in sale of rental, business prop sale?

I've already filed it under home sale, and answered all the qualifying questions for home gain exclusion and it said I quality, but wanted to know if I made a mistake, or if I also have to report it somewhere else because we started renting it after we moved out due to military orders. Normally, we wouldn't have got the home gain exclusion, but because of the military extension the 2 of 5 becomes 2 of 10 or 15. Bought home in 3/2012. Left due to military orders in 11/2014, and started renting it. Sold it 10/2019.

greener6095,

Referring to IRS publication 3 ( https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p3.pdf  ),  page 17, you are correct in applying the 10 year suspension.  Moving on to page 18, you are referred to IRS publication 523 (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p3.pdf) which requires you to fill out a handful of worksheets to determine how much exclusion you can claim.  You can work that manually and compare to what TurboTax asks and calculates.
