Hello all,
I e-filed my taxes last night, and this morning, I was reviewing the forms and realized that TT logged several 'covered' sales into forms 8949, but not all transactions. I did come across the thread below and saw that form 8949 is not required for covered and non-adjusted transactions. However, this is not making sense as some transactions are covered and non-adjusted, but still show up on a form 8949, while many other 'covered' sales are not showing on a form 8949.
Also, I noticed that TT did not ask me to 'review' certain sales that were missing 'Date Acquired', now I know that I have to review every single transaction, which I did, but then I had to re-import a 1099-B form from M1 Finance, and it must have overwritten my previous entries and left the Date acquired blank on a couple of entries.
Should I be worried about any of the above? Thank you!

Find out the status of your tax return before you start worrying.
In TurboTax Online, at Tax Home in the upper left hand corner of the screen reporting that your tax return was accepted or something else?
If your return has been transmitted and rejected by the IRS, you can review your tax return and correct these entries before you re-transmit.
If your return has been transmitted and accepted by the IRS, you will have to amend your Federal 1040 tax return to correct these entries.
However, do not go into your software and start making changes before amending your tax return.
If you used TurboTax Online, log in to your account and select Amend a return that was filed and accepted.
If you used the CD/download product, sign back into your return and select Amend a filed return.
