Owned 2 properties in 2017-1 property was rental-filed a Schedule E. Sold 1 property in 2017, now living in rental prop. What needs to be done to explain no Schedule E?

The  schedule E is carried over from my 2017 return. TurboTax will not let me delete it.

You are welcome.  I'm glad that deleting the assets first then let you delete the main form (Schedule E).

What is the exact date that it was no longer a rental property?

In 2017, you SHOULD have gone through the rental section (including each "asset") to indicate it was converted to personal use.  If you had done that, it shouldn't be carrying to 2018.  So I suspect you might have made mistake in 2017, and may have even claimed too much depreciation.  If that is the case, you should amend 2017.

As for 2018, deleting it is what you need to do.  However, you said it will not let you delete it.  How are you trying to delete it, and exactly what is the program doing to say it won't delete it?

Yes, I guess I am going to have to amend my 2017 return.  I thought I did convert the remainer of the year to personal use, but I must have done something wrong.
I went to My Account > Tools > Tools Forms. It lists all the forms carried over to my 2018 return. It has a delete button by each form. I click the delete button, but when it returns to that screen the form is still there.

Does your rental show up in the rental section?  If so, try deleting it there.  Perhaps you may even need to delete the "assets" before it will let you delete the rental itself.

That did it. I had to delete the asset form first and then the application let me delete the other forms.  Thank you so much for your help.  I really appreciate it.
