My LLC was acquired by a newly formed LLC as part of a merger. My capital account in NewLLC is greater than my basis/capital account in OldLLC. How do I report the gain?

did you already ask this question using a different name??? There was a question about some merger of two LLCs before.....this one is the same without an installment sale or whatever. Anyway there has to be more information about the companies given and your involvement in them
