Moving truck from one state to other. Where do I put the rental truck/gas in moving expense

The rental truck and gas would be considered as part of the transportation expense. On Form 3903, the rental truck and gas expenses would be reported on line 1. To record the rental truck and gas expense in TurboTax, follow this path:

1. After logging into your return, go to the Federal Tax Category.
2. Click on the Deductions and Credits Subcategory.
3. Choose the option "I'll choose what I work on"
4. On the screen labeled Your 2016 Deductions and Credits, find the section labeled Other Deductions and Credits
5. Click start or update in Moving Expenses
6. Either click "yes" to add moving related expenses or "edit" next to the move listed on "Your Moving Expense Deduction Summary".
7. Continue through and answer the necessary screens until you reach the page labeled "Enter Your Moving Expenses"
8. Enter the rental truck and gas expenses on the line labeled "Transporting Your Household Goods"
