Moved out of primary residence on May 19 put it on the rental market. Stored possessions in the housed until it was rented on July 3. Was that 44 days Personal Use ?

It depends, on was it available to be rented while some of your stuff was there?  

If so, then it is a rental for those days also and not personal.

Rental property is considered rented for tax purposes while it is actually rented and also when it is available to be rented.
