Is there a means of removing a broker/bank (or its entries) from the "stocks & bonds" tab and summary within the "wages & income" web page?

I have entered a broker's sales info, as adjusted, twice under both a formal and an informal name.

Yes. On the Wages & Income list, scroll down to the Stocks, Mutal Funds, Bonds, Other line and click on Edit/Add next to that income group. This should take you to the Your Investment Sales Summary page. From that page, you can use the trash can icons to remove the sales that have been duplicated.
