I rent my house. What do I need to do in my taxes to show that as income?

You'll enter the income and deductions associated with the rental under the heading Rental Properties and Royalties. Just type "rental property" in the search box at the top right of your screen and Jump to that section of TurboTax.

Does this transaction fall under Capital Gains/Loss or Gift Tax? And is filing necessary?
