What box is it listed in on the form? Royalties are normally listed in box 2. If so, enter it as such in TurboTax.
If the income is reported in box 2, then enter it under the Personal Income tab in Business Items ->> Rental & Royalty Income (SCH E).
Pat attention to detail, as "rental" is selected by default. Change it to "Royalty".
That's the problem. It then gives me these 2 options. Neither of these apply to my situation. As I said, it is a traded security on the stock exchange.
Royalty income from your business, including artist royalties or operating a natural resources business (Schedule C)
