I received a 1099-B Exchange of shares due due a merger between FMC Technologies and Technip. Only shows net proceeds from exchange. Not an1099-B just a statement.

There is no information just a total  uncosted proceeds.  Are these proceeds reportable.  No monies were received or stocks sold.

Yes, you did have a sale.  You sold your FMC Technologies stock and the proceeds of the sale was an equivalent number of shares of TechnipFMC Plc.

The proceeds should work out to the number of shares received, (same number of shares of FMC Technologies you owned), times $35.53 as that's the figure used in the relevant Form 8937.  https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0ahUKEwi2iKyU5PjZAhVJllQKHZsuBHs...

The basis figure, if not reported to you on the 1099-B, will have to come from your own records.

Your basis in the new shares is that same $35.53 and your holding period begins January 17, 2017.
