I have an accountant that gave me number for line 41 schedule E , but turbo tax prompts me to go thru Rental/Royalty

If you are saying the your accountant gave you the total income and loss for Schedule E (Line 41, Schedule E, in Part V,  see this link for pdf:  Schedule E.) then he/she gave you the total only.  

You will not be able to enter only the totals to required schedules into TurboTax, as the onscreen prompts are designed to complete the entire schedule completely..  You will need to obtain the details and go through the on-screen prompts and answer the questions.

Schedule E is the schedule for Rental/Royalties, as well as income from partnerships and other flow-through entities, please refer to the link to the pdf of this schedule above.
