I entered my Cost Basis for some stock sales manually. The TurboTax system makes Box 1e information red and "needs review" even though I checked the box for missing cost

I thought Box 1e could be left blank if I checked the cost missing on my 1099-B box. I then entered the correct cost basis on the next page.  Still says "Needs Review"

DJA3,

Just a thought: Did you flag the transaction as "Cost Basis Reported to the IRS"?  If so, you have to put in what was in the 1099-B, a zero if blank, and then choose and adjustment to show the correction to the cost basis.  Otherwise, just put the cost basis you know is the correct one into that original (unreported) Box 1e.
