According to the information required by the IRS to claim vehicle expenses, you cannot avoid tracking the mileage driven for business purposes.
If you are using a rental car in your rideshare business, you cannot claim the standard mileage rate as a business expense. You must own the vehicle in order to claim the standard mileage deduction for vehicle expenses.
That being said, you can deduct actual vehicle expenses since you do not own the vehicle used in your business. However, you would still need to be keeping track of the mileage in order to prorate the expenses between business use and personal use of the rental car if there was any personal use.
