For non-resident return for Colorado, can I offset gross rental income of $9,750, with rental expenses of $12,806.08? If so, where? The program only asks about income.

Do I enter the net loss where the program asks about my rental income?  I filled in my gross income, assuming I would report offsetting expenses elsewhere, but the program never asked for expenses.

Enter the rental income and all expenses on the Federal side of things and that income will flow to your non resident CO return. You'll allocate the rental income to the CO return if that is where your rental is located. Then when you prepare your resident state, you will receive a credit for taxes paid to CO.
