all on one invoice.  Can I enter the total amount or have to split it up per improvement?

If the total invoice covered only costs related to the renovation, you would enter the full amount as Rental Asset (Improvement) for depreciation. Because the renovation would not be complete without all these separate costs, they can be combined.
