Can I use the Tax Section 25C, Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit to get a 30% tax credit for a heat pump for my rental house OR, is it for my live-in house only?

The Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit can never be used when the improvements are made to homes not used as a residence by the taxpayer. For example, landlords can never use these credits for improvements made to any homes they rent out but do not use as a residence themselves.
