Can I deduct rental income from my Adjusted Gross Income on my state tax return? Rental was in Washington state. I live in Maryland.

I noticed that the AGI transferred from my federal return to my state return was the same on both forms. $12472 of my federal AGI was earned in Washington state and therefore should not be subject to Maryland state tax.

Your home state taxes all of your income, regardless of where it is generated.  In most cases, you would get some credit for taxes paid to the other state, but WA has no state income tax.
