"Any sales of property not subject to New Jersey tax?" Turbotax New Jersey tax return

I clicked "Yes" to above question. Next, under "Disposition of Property", Turbotax shows transactions with Gain or Loss and "Omit" columns. I clicked "Continue". Next, under "Capital Gain Distribution", Turbotax says subtract exempt amount from New Jersey income tax and enter adjusted amount below.    Do I use Box 2a on 1099-DIV or Gain(Loss) amount on 1099-B to calculate this adjusted amount ?
