(2021) 1099-B - Long Term, Ordinary and Short Term, Ordinary
On my 1099-B, a number of stock sales are type "D", but then Box 2 notes "Long Term, Ordinary" or "Short Term, Ordinary". I am not sure what that means or how/if I need to adjust my return for it. Please let me know. Thanks. Michael

Code D indicates a long-term transaction for which the cost or other basis is being reported to the IRS.
However, there are three checkboxes in Box 2. Which one is checked?
You might want to contact your broker for further information.
