How do I file (federal.)rental income on a boat slip? Slip is in a different state than I live in.

To properly claim this you will need to use TurboTax Premier online program.

This is considered a rental, and to take the expenses it would go there.

If amount paid was for example $350 gross (less that $400) it could be reported on line 21 as misc income, however if over $400, then IRS will look at it for self-employment tax.  This is why I asked you the question in the comments.

It would be taxed by your resident State of SC, and good thing is no state income tax for FL so no return needed there.
