Since TurboTax is asking you to choose the applicable percentage for Section 1202 gains, it appears that you entered a Form 1099-DIV that showed Section 1202 gain in Box 2c. In that case, check the statement you received from your brokerage or other financial institution for the correct percentage to choose. If you don't see this information, contact them directly.

If any part of the capital gain distribution reported in box 2a of Form 1099-DIV qualifies for this exclusion (taking into consideration the shareholder's holding period), the gain is reported in box 2c, and the recipient is furnished with a statement that reports each designated section 1202 gain separately, in the exclusion amounts of 50%, 60%, 75%, and 100%. This information appears when you click the Learn More link next to Box 2c.
