Is there a best time of year to buy a home?

Just starting to browse for homes and it is clear as i am browsing summer is definitely not the best time to buy, as the prices seem extra inflated here in San Diego far beyond the sunshine tax. Is there a "best time" to buy where the market is more in the buyer's favor? Thanks for the advice!

Time of year has nothing to do with it, when it comes to buying real estate. There's only three things that matter when shopping for real estate.

1. Location
2. Location
3. Location

Nothing else plays into it.
