Is there any message at the IRS refund tracker tool, stating how much they sent? https://www.irs.gov/refunds   Here are some possibilities when the amount is less than expected:   Can that difference of approximately $167 be explained by any product fees?  For instance, did you choose to pay any product fees out of your Federal refund?   If so, that method also has an extra $40 service fee ($45 for California filers.) Or could the difference be explained by a state refund you have not yet received?   The state refund comes separately.  If the IRS lowered your refund amount, they should send a letter in about 3 weeks explaining why.

I provided the shortcut method above to go directly to the section for estimated tax payments made for 2025 in Online TurboTax.   If you want to use regular navigation, here's how.  So between the 2 methods, you should be able to use one or both of them.    When you click in the left column on the Federal tab then subtab Deductions & Credits and in the dropdown choose the Deductions & Credits Summary, it may take you to a page called "Your Tax Breaks".   That shows the "Tax Breaks", i.e., deductions, that someone has already worked on this year or that TurboTax is expecting from what was entered last year.   Lower on that same screen should be a button or link for "Add more tax breaks" or "Show more tax breaks" or similar wording.   When clicked, then the screen should expand, and all the deduction topics are displayed including "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid."  Then that topic can be expanded further to get the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments.

For Online TurboTax, here's a tool that should get you directly to the section for estimated tax payments made for 2025.  I've also provided an alternate navigation method in a comment that follows this one.   With the return open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then the subtab TOOLS. In the Tools Center choose the blue button Topic Search. In the topic search line enter the phrase estimated tax payments without quotes. Make the selection in the list (it may already be highlighted), and either double-click it or click the GO button. Next screen is Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid. Use the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments. Choose the appropriate category and tax year you are reporting (Federal, state, local) and click START or Revisit. NOTE:  Before filing, make sure your Federal estimated tax payments correctly show on the Form 1040, Line 26, and that any state estimated tax payments (if applicable) show up on your state return.

This year some stores such as Best Buy, Sams Club, and some others are selling both desktop and online TurboTax licenses.    Since you said "download", I will assume you purchased a desktop software license and want to install it on your computer.   If you have already bought your license code for your 2025 Premier desktop product (as opposed to an online version), here's how to download, install, and activate the desktop software.   FAQ:  How do I get started with TurboTax Desktop? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/license-information/install-turbotax-cd-download-software-license-code/L1wFOSXur_US_en_US

Did you end up in a paid edition?  The charges (or free) depends on what edition one ended up using.   It's possible you either started off in the wrong edition, or perhaps you started in Free Edition but had to upgrade due to something in your return that Free Edition cannot handle.  The Free Edition is only for very simple returns--a Form 1040 with no additional forms/schedules other than Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Student Loan Interest.   If you don't think you need Deluxe or higher, and if you haven't already paid, you can downgrade to Free Edition (first FAQ below).  But if there's something that Free Edition cannot handle (see first FAQ below), it will ask you to upgrade again.   FAQ:  Why do I have to upgrade from Free Edition? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/change-service-level/upgrade-free-editio...   FAQ:  How to I downgrade to a lower priced version of TurboTax Online? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/change-service-level/downgrade-lower-pri...

See https://www.nj.gov/treasury/taxation/inheritance-estate/inheritance-taxfilerequirements.shtml   The executor, administrator, or heir-at-law of the estate must file an Inheritance Tax return (if required) within eight (8) months of the date of the decedent’s death. Underneath your question the tag is showing "Online TurboTax."    Maybe that was indicated in error, or maybe you asked your question from your online account.  In any case, are you sure you are using the desktop product you bought at Costco and did not end up Online TurboTax by mistake?     If you are sure you are in desktop TurboTax, then yes, the $10 credit from the Costco product purchase "should" appear automatically when you check out to pay your state efile fee. In fact I have used that offer successfully myself in the past for the state efile fee.   Be sure to pay by credit or debit card.   If you choose to pay your fees out of the Federal refund, there is an extra $40 service for that option ($45 for California filers.)
My first window was $6,628 and second $10,238 (big windows!) and the discount was $4,047.   Thank you for the help!

@ deb2394 wrote: When is this being fixed????? A TurboTax employee posted above that the screen language will not be fixed until after this filing season; i.e., sometime after April 15, which unfortunately is after the filing deadline.  Some users above said they held their breaths and proceeded, and it only filed their extension request.  Another user said they opened a second account to file theirs.  If you don't feel comfortable with using it, here are some options:   You can rather easily file an extension request at the online IRS website a couple of ways, or you can manually prepare a Form 4868 and mail with payment by the due date.  See these options:   You can go to https://www.irs.gov/payments   and choose to pay your expected taxes due toward a Form 1040, and for reason choose "extension", and you can pay directly from your bank account (or by debit/credit card.) Choose the correct tax year. Print out your confirmation. Or if you have an online IRS account, you can sign into your online account at the IRS and then go to the payments section to pay your expected taxes due.   Again, you will be presented a form where you can choose "extension" as the reason for the payment. Or you can download a Form 4868 and instructions at the IRS website and postal mail it, but be sure it is postmarked by the due date of April 15.  If you choose to use the mail method, you may wish to get a certificate of mailing or use a method that has tracking.   NOTE:  There is no fee for the first 2 options above if you pay directly from your bank account.  There are fees for debit and credit card.  The card fee can be hefty if your tax payment is large.

The amended return will take 16 weeks process of some large amount of time. I think the main issue is the carry over if you are in business for yourself and you have carry over. At least that is my situation. I think you're right about no AGI showing as can be seen by printing out what forms get filed and although I haven't gone too far on the efile page since I know the carry over will make it get rejected the key is sadly,  to mail both the amendment and this year's return created by importing the amended version  in printed form. That was what was recommended to me when I got a hold of a tax expert on Turbo Tax. I was starting to come to that conclusion myself and she verified it. You may be able to verify if the amended return and new one have no mismatched pieces of info. I think the main issue is the carry over if you are in business for yourself and you have carry over. Another could be the refund amount could mismatch if you change things in amended one after importing to the new one and had asked to have the refund applied as credit to 2025 (this can be fixed by not having it applied in both versions). I think you're right about no AGI showing as can be seen by printing out what forms get filed and although I haven't gone too far on the efile page since I know the carry over will make it get rejected and the key is sadly to mail the amendment and the new filing based on the amended version together in printed form. To be clear I use the desktop version.
