If that doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return. Or request a transcript from the IRS https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

@pattyraffa212 This is a public Internet forum. You should not post any personal info here. Someone could try to scam you. You can edit it out. To do that, click the tiny blue 3-dot icon just to the right of your question then choose EDIT. Please explain more about what you need. If your return was prepared in Online TurboTax, are you needing to know how to download a copy of your 2024 tax return from your online account? Or are you asking about a tax refund you haven't received?

Yes you can 2024 now first. You can use the Online version and efile until Oct 15. You will need to enter 0 for the 2023 AGI to efile. You can only do the last 3 years with Turbo Tax. Online is only good for the current year. For prior years you need to buy the Desktop program. You have to buy each year separately. You can buy the last 3 years of Turbo Tax here, https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on. Most likely it is all deductible as medical expenses. If you are paying the person to be there for medical purposes, it is deductible, regardless if they are actively performing medical services or just being 'there' in case medical needs arise. For the one hour of doing other things, I suspect the primary purpose is for them to be there in case of a medical need. If that is the case, it is deductible as a medical expense. If you are specifically paying them to perform that other service, then it may not be a medical deduction.

You said you are getting an error notice that your Federal return cannot be efiled due to "forms that cannot be efiled?" If so, do you by any chance have a zero-income return? i.e., did you use the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion to exclude all income, so it's a zero return? A zero-income return cannot be efiled. If so, we can tell you a workaround on that situation that users in similar situation have used, which usually involves adding $1 in income, such as interest, or $1 in the topic "other income." If that was the problem, then that should allow it to be efiled.

What type of IRS letter? There may be a CP or LTR number in the right corner that classifies the type of letter. Folks might make suggestions here in the forum once they know what the IRS is asking of you. This is a public Internet forum, so don't post any personal info here. Also see this FAQ which has info on the various types of IRS letters: FAQ: I got a letter or notice from the IRS https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/got-letter-notice-irs/L2JDxmDTo_US_en_US You mentioned wanting to speak to someone. If you didn't purchase add-on Audit Defense (third-party product), you can still phone Turbotax free Audit Support Center that can help you with an IRS letter. At the FAQ below scroll down in the table to see the phone number of the free Audit Support Center. Their hours are Mon-Fri, 5AM-5PM Pacific this time of year. FAQ: TurboTax Audit Support https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-audit/turbotax-audit-support/L6AcMoNFD_US_en_US "the return you people helped me file" This is a user community forum--not a direct route to the folks at TurboTax Support, so we people don't know what product you used. By "helped" do you mean you used a TurboTax LIVE product, for instance, which has live help on-demand from a tax expert during return preparation and a review of the return prior to filing? If so, the Audit Support Center should be able to help you connect to a tax expert.

@nluna9586 wrote: We're my refund Are you referring to a Federal tax refund? If so, then first, you need to be sure the return was successfully filed. It depends on how you chose to file the return. If you filed a paper return by mail, TurboTax does not mail it for you. If you chose that method, you would have had to print it, sign it, date it, and mail it yourself. It takes at least 4 weeks for a mailed return to show up in the IRS WMR tool. If you efiled, double-check to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted. If you used Online TurboTax, you can sign into your Online Account and check the efile status at the Tax Home. What word is used there for the status: accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or something else? If that showed it was accepted, (or if you mailed a paper return), you can use the "Where's My Refund" tool at the IRS website below to monitor the status of your Federal refund. Is there any message there? https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund When using that IRS tool: Be sure you enter the correct tax year, SSN, and filing status. Be sure you are using only the Federal refund amount. Do not include any state refund or any total refund or net refund (Fed and State) that TurboTax may have provided on a summary screen. Look at your actual Federal return to get the Federal refund amount to use in the tool, i.e., your Form 1040, Line 35a.
