Did you take a Disaster distribution for a disaster that occurred in 2019-2022

Hi,

 

You must look for certain forms that correlate to the disaster distributions on your prior year 1040 returns.

 

1.Take a look at Form 8915. For 2019 look at form 8915-B, and take a look at form 8915-E for 2020. These are disaster-related distributions from retirement.

 

For tax years 2021 and 2022, Form 8915-F was used to report qualified disaster distributions.

 

You can also take a look at the 1040 income section to look for entries that mention disaster-related distributions or adjustments.

 

You should be able to view your tax return in TurboTax Online by clicking on tax return, then scrolling down to your tax returns and documents, and selecting the year in question. You can also request a transcript of your return at irs.gov:
