Dependent experience fraud

Hi, my dependent experienced fraud, so although turbo tax said my taxes were accepted, I have not received a refund due to this. We received a letter in the mail notifying the dependent that there were taxes filed in his name already. He followed directions in the letter by called the IRS fraud department and they said we would need to paper file. What does that mean? Do I print out and mail my completed turbo tax papers?

Yes.  Paper filing means that you need to print your returns, sign them, attach a copy of your W-2s or Form 1099s that show taxes withheld, and mail them to the IRS.

If the letter you received addressed the situation and gave you the advice to mail the return, you should also attach a copy of that letter with your return.
