I am a single male in my 40's with no dependants living and working in Los Angeles. What do I need to change on my W4 to avoid paying taxes ?

If you have a single W-2 your W-4 should generally cover your taxes. For purposes of this answer, I am assuming that you have other income, which the W-4 calculator will help you account for, in making certain you are withholding enough in taxes during the year.
