Credit Drop

My credit just dropped by 6 points out of nowhere. I have not missed any payments. I have not had any inquiries. I have no derogatory marks. I've lowered my card balance and the only change I'm able to see is a + for paying it down further. So I don't understand how or why it would drop down and can't seem to get any answers. What can I do to fix it?

Credit Drop

You can get your credit reports free from the site below which you should check for inaccuracies and any indicia of fraudulent activity.

You might also try checking your credit score with Turbo --> https://turbo.intuit.com/

Regardless, six points is background noise and, ordinarily, is nothing with which to be concerned.

Credit Drop

6 points is pretty trivial.  I pay off all my credit cards in full each month but I use them for everything I buy, so depending on when the score is calculated, I might have a $3000 balance or no balance, and that will affect my score, even though the cards are always paid on time and in full.  Remember that your credit score is just a crude method to estimate your ability to pay back the next loan you apply for; if you don't need to apply for a loan, it doesn't really matter what your score is.
