Collections

Hello,

I have recently paid off all of my collections and also a student loan and my credit still isn’t reflecting that. I disputed the amount that was still showing for in collections through credit karma; my dispute went through and they said they were going to remove it but nothing has happened. My husband had one collections that we paid off and his credit came up significantly but mine hasn’t changed. Is there something I can do to make this happen shortly or what is the timeframe for something like this?

There is not a whole lot you can do but you might want to read the information at the link below. Otherwise, the collection entry will remain on your credit report for circa seven years from the date of the first missed payment.
