My 1098T has nothing in Box 1 or Box 2, is this normal? I did three classes this year in the Fall (2017)..

Your 1098-T should have an amount in Box 1 or Box 2 if tuition was billed or paid.

If the amount in Box 5 (Scholarships/Grants) exceeds the amount of tuition, you would not qualify for a credit.

If you believe the 1098-T is incorrect, you could ask the school for a corrected one.
