In the turbo tax program under education deductions and credits, why am i not allowed to enter my 1098-t tuition fees?

there are $5000 in tuition fees (box 1) and $0 in scholarships (box 5).  however, the program will not allow me to enter any info before it says "there are no qualified tuition expenses"

If someone else claims you, they enter the 1098-T.
