If I received payments for qualified tuition and related expenses, will that lower my return?

You received payments from whom and why and how much? How were the payments classified, grants, scholarships, loans, employer reimbursement, etc.?  How was it reported to yo, 1098-T, W-2, etc.

Some payment are tax free, some are taxable, and some are a mixture.
